Problem

Contrast Polarity refers more to the background and text, Switching from light to dark, and back again to light with a click. A feature like Positive contrast polarity (light mode) which refers to dark-font text on light background and Negative contrast polarity (dark mode) which denotes the combination of light (e.g., white) text on dark (e.g., black) background is highly recommended on the cc search site.

Description

i have seen a contribution about contrast earlier which is very important and is highly needed.
but this issue refers to Contrast Polarity, the background from my check is built only on light, and would be more flexible and also increase visual performance, if a user has an easy access to decide which background is best needed depending on the hour of the day, at night 80% of users prefer to switch to a dark mode as it helps to reduce light and also makes the page fun to use.

Alternatives

If this feature is added the page contrast score increases, and users would find the page in question interesting and fun,
The Major idea behind dark mode is that it reduces the light emitted by device screens while maintaining the minimum colour contrast ratios required for readability.

For most users Reading on a bright screen can increase eye strain in low light and cause them to squint.

Additional context

However it is optional, and the original contrast is maintained unless there is a switch to dark mode

Implementation

  • I would be really interested in implementing this feature.

Adding "dark mode" compatibility is something worth considering, but it should occur after the site has been redesigned to avoid having to redo it all over again when the design changes. Blocking for now.
