Switch to ESM reverted, why?

Why is the branch with a switch to ESM reverted?

It broke stuff for other people. I would prefer a cleaner breaking change that doesn't try to maintain compatibility and I can push a new major version.

Okay, thanks for the information. Unfortunately I can only use ESM code in my project. I tried to include it my designer: https://node-projects.github.io/web-component-designer-demo/index.html to show a graph of the undo/redo possibilitys :-)
