If you use allowedTypes like in my case with the value 'text/*', it works perfectly well in Mac and Ubuntu. But it doesn't work on Windows. When I check the type property of the File object it is empty. Why is that difference? If it really is Microsoft fault, then perhaps it is necessary to modify the logic to infer the file type.
