A memory leak detection library for Android and Java.
“A small leak will sink a great ship.” - Benjamin Franklin
In your build.gradle
:
dependencies {
debugCompile 'com.squareup.leakcanary:leakcanary-android:1.5'
releaseCompile 'com.squareup.leakcanary:leakcanary-android-no-op:1.5'
testCompile 'com.squareup.leakcanary:leakcanary-android-no-op:1.5'
}
In your Application
class:
public class ExampleApplication extends Application {
@Override public void onCreate() {
super.onCreate();
if (LeakCanary.isInAnalyzerProcess(this)) {
// This process is dedicated to LeakCanary for heap analysis.
// You should not init your app in this process.
return;
}
LeakCanary.install(this);
// Normal app init code...
}
}
You're good to go! LeakCanary will automatically show a notification when an activity memory leak is detected in your debug build.
