I am backing up my RHEL 7.9 server with Datto's Linux Agent which is using dattobd. When performing restores my protected machines fail to boot with the following error:
BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 0000000000000008
IP: [\ _handle_bdev_mount_writable+0x58/0X1d0 [dattobd]
PGD 0
Ther kernel driver version of this RHEL server is 3.10.0-693.2.1.el7 and the newest version is 3.10.0-1160.119.1.el7. I am trying to determine if perhaps this error is due to an outdate kernel driver and needs to be updated or if there is something else going on.
The dattobd version I am running is
dkms-dattobd-0.11.9-32.1.el7.noarch
libdattobd-0.11.8-32.1.el7.x86_64
dattobd-utils-0.11.8-32.1.el7.x86_64
