I can't run an external programm

I tried tkterm, and it's the terminal i like the most !

Unfortunately, it does not run any command line app. I tried nano or python to test, and it looks like when a process needs to take control of the terminal it does'nt work..,
What i'm trying to achieve is for example to execute a c++ binary within the terminal like ./helloWorld knowing there is an instruction like scanf inside. If it's just a printf, it works. But when the programm have to take control to allow scanf, it breaks.

Hope this can be fixed !
