I am considering building/buying this plant sensor. What RF range can I expect with this sensor? Of course it depends on a lot of circumstances but what's the range for 'general use'?
I know that there are RF calculators but that would require me to have a sensor before buying it.

It uses a Texas Instrument CC2530 with integrated PCB board antenna so range on this specific sensor will not be great on its own, but Zigbee is designed to utilize its mesh network functionality to extend range via other mains-powered Zigbee devices that each act as Zigbee router. All battery-operated Zigbee sensors really need to be used in a Zigbee network with mains-powered Zigbee devices.

FYI, I have collected a lot of tips here -> home-assistant/home-assistant.io#18864
