appears to be dead... django will never support nosql :/

however there is hope :) tried it today and pretty much all works (if you follow the instructions at
https://django-mongodb-engine.readthedocs.io/en/latest/index.html) the only issue is with the admin. A newer project https://github.com/nesdis/djongo seems promising
