Accents on the cloud

why do the words lose their accents in the cloud ? (French words in my case)

Is there a way to keep accents on the cloud ?

By design, the tags are treated as pagenames, such that for each tag a 'tagpage' can be made where people which follow the link can see specific page for that tag. Otherwise an automatic page is shown as 'tagpage'.

I do not know if it is technical possible to store the tags with accents with current design concept.
Might be the https://www.dokuwiki.org/plugin:tagging is more flexible with the tag names?
