Feature Request: Option to Disable Tab Previews on Hover
Description:
When hovering over browser tabs, a preview popup appears showing a small snapshot of the webpage. While this may be useful to some users, it can also raise privacy concerns. The tab previews can expose sensitive or private information to anyone who happens to glance at the screen. This is particularly problematic in shared or public workspaces. I am requesting an option to disable this feature for users who prefer more privacy and a cleaner, less cluttered browsing experience.
Privacy Concern:
The tab preview can display private content (emails, messages, documents, etc.) without the user intentionally interacting with the tab. In shared or public environments, this could inadvertently expose sensitive information to others. Disabling tab previews would help protect user privacy.
Steps to Reproduce:
Open multiple tabs in the browser, including tabs with potentially sensitive content (e.g., email, chat, or other confidential data).
Hover the mouse over any tab.
Observe the preview that appears, potentially revealing private content.
Expected Behavior:
An option or setting in the browser that allows users to turn off tab previews when hovering over a tab.
Actual Behavior:
Tab previews are shown by default, with no option to disable them, which can lead to unintentional exposure of private information.
Proposed Solution:
Add a setting or flag in the browser’s preferences that allows users to disable tab previews on hover. This could enhance both usability and privacy for users.
Thank you for considering this request!
