Thumbnail profile pictures are not working

Thumbnail profile images are not working on EduCloud Portal.

"Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 (Not Found) https://portaldev.educloudalliance.org/sites/default/files/styles//public?itok=1x8Pk7yV"

itok's should probably be automatically generated?

With Firefox the thumbnail image on the upright looks white.
With Chrome, there's that error mentioned above when you open the developer console.

I am using Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, Chrome version Versio 38.0.2125.111, Firefox version 33.0.

That's because there's no default picture provided and account doesn't have contact information picture provided (user -> edit -> contact info) Should there be a default image? What to use as default image?
