Hey all,

I don't use Ruby much these days, and so I haven't been spending much time on this project. I am hoping there is someone who would be willing to step up and take over maintaining this project so it gets the attention it deserves. If you would like to do so, please respond with a comment explaining a bit about what you would like to do as a maintainer of this project. I'll then add one or more of those users as collaborators.

Thank you!

That's sad to hear. I just find out about this gem, literally and I would like to keep on using it.

I know my way around Ruby, so I could help out here. But it would definitely help if there is 1 or 2 other people helping with the maintenance.
Since we're developing our own software I do not think I have much time to develop new features. Maintenance/bugfixing might work though.

So other people that like to help and spread the load?

I would also be very happy to help.

I don't have too much free time, but I think I can help with bugfixing and sometimes writing new features.

That's great! Take a look at the issues and see if there's something that catches your eye! I'm happy to help guide you through the code as needed.

I will be able to help off and on. I will take a look at the issues. But first I want to have it up and running in my company :)

hi! it's been a few months since the last comment here. does Contracts still need help with maintenance? I'm not up for helping myself but, if you'd like, I'd be happy to ask around and see if I can get some interest.

Yes, that would be great.

If you don't mind, feel free to add me as maintainer.

I won't be able to do a lot of stuff. But at least caring about minor stuff like #275 and some of my own tickets which I have solutions for.

I'd also like to do some lightweight maintaining stuff.

Hi both,
Sorry for the late response! I just had my first child so will be intermittently responsive for a while.

I'm glad you are both interested in maintaining! Maintaining a project is not very glamorous work, so we should take some baby steps so you can see what you are getting into! :) I don't want you to commit to something without knowing what it involves. I would suggest starting by submitting PRs for issues. We have Travis setup for this project, so that should give you immediate feedback even when I'm less able. That will give you a taste for this work :) Thanks for helping!

Is this project still alive?

@gbrennon
There are commits and releases recently.
Be sure to check those on any project before you ask next time~

in @gbrennon's defense the README does make it look like it's dead

True
It's there since 2017
Wait 5 year already!?

Maybe transfer this project to its own organization?
Just a thought
Also why 0.17 (master) README has no link to https://egonschiele.github.io/contracts.ruby/ !?
