Make the search phrase in KWIC view either non-interactive or fully interactive

In KWIC view, the query phrase is shown at the top left. This text is clickable and editable, but editing it does nothing. It may be just me, but since its location and appearance is much like that of the search phrase in Analysis view, I have on countless occasions started modifying this phrase (to do a slightly different search than the previous one), and was annoyed when it just reverted to the original after I pressed Enter.
If this text were not clickable and editable, that would prevent this happening. Making it visually more different from the query textbox may also help. Alternatively, it would also be nice if I could actually modify it right there and submit a new query from this view.
