In the canvas, when you select an object that has no stroke, that is the stroke is set to "none", the selection bounding box could look as follows:
It is due to the stroke value, if you set it to zero then:
I would say that if stroke is set to "none", no matter what width value you have but the selection bounding box should be just the fill, doesn't it?
