<p>
I am a recent electrical engineering graduate, with extensive knowledge and passion for writing software. I have developed in many languages over the past few years, but have maintained focus in writing server-side Python, and using frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create usable and attractive frontend experiences. Besides writing code, I love sports, and have played hockey for the past 15 years, and squash for the past 3 years. For the past 8 years, I have been teaching myself how to play piano and guitar, learning to play many classic rock songs, and Peanuts classics.

Semtech Corporation is an analog/digital mixed-signal semiconductor desginer and manufacturer. I spent a year at their R&D faciliry in Ottawa developing an internal software regression tool in Python, and writing SystemVerilog hardware code to functionally verify a semiconductor chip designed to transform data from copper to fiber using a laser driver at gigabit speeds.

Scorbit is a platform whose goal was to provide a free facility for anyone to track and broadcast sport event statistics in real-time at any level. As the sole developer, I was responsible for designing and developing a backend API, which was written in Python, using technologies like Redis, and PostgreSQL, and a frontend to use the API, written using web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

While attending Queen's University I maintained Dean's Distinction, taking electrical engineering courses ranging from analog electronics, to signal processing and wireless networks. Throughout my time held many roles outside of the classroom including being a teaching assistant for various 2nd and 3rd year courses, being a model for a non-profit organization called Project Red, and a peer supporter at a wellness center targeted at helping engineering students on campus.
