As an outsider, I have no idea how to verify if the provenance is correctly linked. When clicking on the provenance section of the dataset, the options of “table” or graph” are not intuitive. I don’t know what to do with the provided HuBMAP ID in relation to its provenance. Should the HuBMAP ID have specific component parts / roots that indicate its origin? Just because the arrows in the “graph” point down stream to generic terms, (ex: What does “Register Donor” clickable box mean? And when clicked get a “type” an “ID” and a “created” date)—how does that information indicate connected provenance?
Would like an easy link to a downloadable spreadsheet that has all provenance information contained in one place for a sample (and all samples).
Labeling of provenance graph is difficult to interpret/readily understand and what would really be useful is any way to actually download the donor/organ/sample/block/section(s) derived from block directly. Very difficult to pull this into a form that is computationally useful. Being able to interact with provenance graph in a user friendly manner to link to the actual data also would be very helpful. Names like "create sample activity with " is torture for users, despite accuracy of information. [See provenance survey for full comment.]
