I'm waiting for ARM Support for DB2-Drivers and thus this python package.

Describe the solution you'd like
I understand that this is an upstream problem, however I want a place on this bug tracker to track this issue and to subscribe to, so I get notified once this has materialized and is integrated

Describe alternatives you've considered
Searching for closed bugs and looking at all of them do determine what the status is, or looking at pypi packages to see if one with my architecture is already released or looking at change notes.

None of this workarounds give me the ability to a) get status updates and notifications once the change is released or b) allow other people to also subscribe to this notification.

Therefore I request to keep this ticket open, till arm64 support is released and integrated.

@dwt ibm_db can not support ARM64 architecture unless IBM Db2 Driver support arm64. For that support, a request with IBM already opened as https://ibm-data-and-ai.ideas.ibm.com/ideas/DB2CON-I-92 . Please open this link and vote/comment there.
ARM64 support is not an issue with ibm_db but with the underlying db2 driver named IBM Data Sever Driver Package or dsdriver/clidiver.
Probably you have not went through the similar closed issue #739 and this comment: #739 (comment)
Thanks.

@bimalkjha yes, I did. I am requesting to have a ticket here, to track when this is released and integrated and released in the python packages that are built form this repo.

My reasoning is, that I am interested in the python package, and therefore land here, so this ticket is the best place to document the current state and where the right ticket and project to request this feature is, as well as get notified when the python package is finally released with a arm variant on pypi.

Does that make sense?

(Also: one doesn't need an IBM-ID to subscribe here, and this is the perfect place to direct people to the IBM Page - if they actually want to create an IBM-ID to also subscribe there).

I suspect that many folks don't really care though, and just want to know when the python package is integrated - hence this ticket.
