Consider adding micrometer tracing as a default to pipeline components, complementing #23.

Of note, from there:

  • either we use the OpenTelemetry tracer (probably a good default) and it is possible to setup micrometer to use a ZipKin SpanExporter
  • or we use the OpenZipkin tracer

In any event, this has the potential of entirely superseding #20.
