I have just gone through this update and the loss of efficiency for me is probably 10-15%. I want to stick with Wayland but going through all the hoops to restore the efficiency I had under XFCE4 is driving me crazy - so I am looking at other options . .

I have had a passing interest in tiling DEs since Linux kernel 0.9 times but they never seem to really suit me - however if there is not too much drama getting V going on F34, I might give it a shot!

Thanks,
Phil.

I can't say I've tested Vivarium on Fedora 34, but it ought to work without any issues as long as you don't mind compiling it yourself.
