For collaboration with the IU Library Digital Collection Services and other digital humanities projects, we should create a parser for the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) XML format. A start towards this may be present in the AP demo coprus training script in topic-explorer, which processes XML encoded full-text documents from the AP88-AP90 TREC corpus.
