Apparently we have been using the old, legacy version of the gwt-maven-plugin (https://gwt-maven-plugin.github.io/gwt-maven-plugin/user-guide/archetype.html), which might have caused some issues with project builds, especially with IntelliJIDEA. We can try to upgrade the project so that it uses the new version instead. This isn't a must though.

It would still be nicer to use the up-to-date version of the plugin after all, if we're still sticking with gwt for this project. I can take a look at this.
