I could add contact photos next to messages, and make an option to toggle it on and off universally, but adding a way to toggle it per-chat may be a bit too much. Would there be any benefit to adding a per-chat toggle to this toggle besides simple customization?
I personally would like it on for all chats (this is how BlueBubbles Desktop does it), but iOS and macOS only have it on for group chats, so I thought some people would want it like that
Group chat images are implemented with this commit, though I haven't added anything yet to allow direct chats to show images as well.
I could close this ticket and make a new one for a toggle for direct chats. Or, if you think it's best to leave it as is and close the ticket, I would understand that too. Alternatively, I could keep this ticket open and just change the title to make it for a toggle for contact photos in direct chats. Let me know what you think is the best move 👍
