Just wanted to say I absolutely LOVE you are doing this for linux. I actually can't stand flatpaks for much the same reasons as you. I am a huge fan of NOT installing software since the windows days 20+ years ago so your efforts are completely and madly flat-out AWESOME!! TYVM
If I lived near you I'd buy you a nice meal wherever you wanted.
