The limits on numbers of nodes in a k3s cluster? #11407
-
Hi there, I'd like to deploy k8s in a production cluster, what's the official largest cluster size k3s can handle? Thanks. |

The same as upstream K8s https://kubernetes.io/docs/setup/best-practices/cluster-large/. We recently tested up to 2000 nodes, but there is nothing stopping you from scaling to 5K with properly resourced CP nodes. See https://docs.k3s.io/installation/requirements#server-sizing-guide for some guidelines on those requirements. |
