setLanguage not working on v3.6.1

Hi. I've downloaded mbtiles v.3.6.1 from openmaptiles.com and show it with mapbox. I just want to change the language but it's not working. can you tell me what's wrong?
I saw in openmaptiles releases log that multi language support added earlier than this version.

Hi, what version of mapbox-gl-js are you using?

Also, can you try with the latest version of openmaptiles?

my mapbox-gl version is 1.1.1 and I use the free version of openmaptiles which is v3.6.1. I don't want to use the paid version which is newer version.
