Focus not set on awesome bar in fullscreen mode on Mac

When opening a new tab, I prefer to be able to start typing in the awesome bar directly. But when I'm using this extension, I first have to press Ctrl-L to focus the awesome bar before I can start typing.

Thanks for your issue, but I cannot reproduce it: when I open a new tab with ctrl+T, the focus is on the awesome bar.

What version of firefox do you have?
Do you have other extensions which might change this behavior?

Wow, this is strange, but after a restart it now works perfectly :) Sorry for creating the issue without testing that! And thanks for making the extension btw.!

Now I was able to reproduce it. Turns out it only happens in fullscreen mode, and it's probably Mac-specific. Will update the title to reflect this.

I made sure to disable all other plugins, but the issue only disappeared when I disabled this plugin. However, it could well be that this is an issue with all plugins that modify the new tab screen. I don't know the Firefox APIs, but I tried another plugin, Blank New Tab, and it showed the same problem. So this could be something out of your control, but perhaps still a good idea to keep the issue open so we can track if it is fixed in a future version?

Can't reproduce it on Windows, even on fullscreen.
No problem to keep this issue open until it is resolved, but don't hesitate to add more info if you find something 😄
