Hi,

following the discussion on the last BB meeting I think we could provide a simple way to switch between AFS/EOS with two modifications

  1. in the template mask adding this commented line
system, "ln -fns /afs/cern.ch/eng/lhc/optics/simulation_tools simulation_tools";
! system, "ln -fns /eos/project/a/abpdata/lhc/optics/simulation_tools simulation_tools";
  1. in the /afs/cern.ch/eng/lhc/optics/simulation_tools/machines/optics/ I would put the actual copies of the files (adding a copyOptics.sh). In fact the present links will not work in EOS. In addition having copies, will allows for tracking the changes (but requires more work).
