I’m planning to start to work on a program to interact with Lichess’ board API and I wanted to be able to test things out (including e.g. starting rated games), but I don’t want to risk getting my account banned in case there is a bug while I work on it. What is the best way to test out a work‐in‐progress program like that? Is it fine to create a separate account exclusively for the purposes of testing so that it doesn’t impact my main account? Ideally I could try to run my own instance of Lichess for testing, but that feels too cumbersome. (Though if that is the recommendation, I wouldn’t mind going through it.) I remember at some point https://lichess.dev used to be available publicly (I assume for testing), but now it asks for authentication. Thanks in advance! |
