Cracking sound when shutdown #12446

Please try using the Once installed, remove the In the settings of this applet, in Sound tab, check the option "Try to avoid loud cracking sound at shutdown". Please tell me if that works as you expect. |
dear @claudiux Tried, works good. Any change it will be used by default on the main sound applet? (without having an option to enable/disable it, since it should be enabled by default). Thank's again. |

The problem (if it's really a problem?) is that I don't get any loud cracking sound at shutdown at all, with my devices. This issue was easily resolved with the Enhanced Sound applet. Not so with the basic applet. |
I have a Thinkpad T14 G4 with a Ryzen 5... Maybe the hardware it's too recent for mint? |
This is not a problem of too recent hardware. |
What can it be then? |
This is a material problem, or bass level too high. My solution is to record the volume level, mute output, then restore the volume level for next time. |

Bug description
When I turn off my computer I hear a loud crack sound on my speakers. The issue is alerady described here:
Steps to reproduce
I have a ThinkPad T14 Gen 4 AMD, I believe this is a problem that obviosuly does not happen on all devices.
Expected behavior
I expect that there are not strong cracking noise when I turn off my pc.

Current work around is to shutdown the pc using this command:
