Login field change to username return : Shield\Exceptions

Hi,
On this latest codeigniter 4.4.5 and Bonfire2, I am trying to change the input field on user login, from email to username.
But there Exceptions occurs:
...

CodeIgniter\Shield\Exceptions\InvalidArgumentException

Invalid credentials passed to recordLoginAttempt.
...

Here are what I have changed:
.\vendor\codeigniter4\shield\src\Config\Auth.php

public array $validFields = [
        //'email',
        'username',
    ];

.\vendor\codeigniter4\shield\src\Validation\ValidationRules.php

public function getLoginRules(): array
    {
        return setting('Validation.login') ?? [
            'username' => $this->config->usernameValidationRules,
            // 'email'    => $this->config->emailValidationRules,
            'password' => $this->getPasswordRules(),
        ];
    }

.\vendor\lonnieezell\bonfire\src\Auth\Config\Auth.php

public array $validFields = [
        //'email',
        'username',
    ];

Did i miss something ?

@ajikunto Please refrain from making changes to vendor. Because with every update, all your changes are lost.
Please read the login_identifier.

Oh, i see. I think i had ignore this step.

1. Change the login view file in the app/Config/Auth.php file.
   public array $views = [ 'login' => '\App\Views\Shield\login', // ... ];
