Feature request: make this plugin work with HTML canvas

This plugin does not work for me when i enable HTML canvas via <script>L_PREFER_CANVAS = true;</script>.
It would be great if it did.
Don't know how hard this feature would be to implement.

I'm sorry but it is almost impossible to implement with the current code, which relies on SVG text glyph features.

It should probably be a different project...
