Handling unknown Sensor

Hi,

if something is wrong with fetching the data and sensor state become unknown the entire sensor is not working.

What I would like is to use value_template to control if value.daysTo is not available to have kind of a fallback to display something else, but it is not reaching that point as entire sensor is not working. I guess it can be handled in the code to return unknown state but still not to make entire sensor not usable?

Maybe availability_template can be a solution if you can add a support.
