glogtime allows you to add a category name to the start of the activity name (ref. https://gtimelog.org/docs.html Categories).

project1: fixing bug 1234
project2: fixing buildBot

The activities are then "grouped by" category from that point on in the UI.

glogtime also allows you to add tags to the end of the activity name (demarcated with "--"), which will also show an additional breakdown by tag.

project3: upgrade webserver -- sysadmin www front-end
project3: restart mail server -- sysadmin mail

This may "clutter up" the daily view a little, maybe only display on weekly view?

gtimelog has different view modes, like "chronological", "grouped", and "by project". I've only ever used the "grouped" one (and that's what rtimelog shows). "chronological" is a bit pointless -- if I want that, you can just use :e to show the raw file. I don't need the "by project" view, but if you are interested in adding this (:p ?), I'd accept it.
