Clarification on UserProxyAgent and its default_auto_reply attribute

I'm seeking clarification on the UserProxyAgent in the agentic setup:

1. The purpose of UserProxyAgent is unclear to me.
2. I noticed the default_auto_reply attribute is empty by default.
3. I often observe empty messages from the UserProxyAgent.

Questions:

• What's the intended use of UserProxyAgent?
• How can we effectively use the default_auto_reply attribute?
• Could someone provide a basic demonstration of UserProxyAgent in action?

What's the intended use of UserProxyAgent?

In the v0.2 API, user proxy agent is for executing functions and tools, also provide user feedback to agents.

How can we effectively use the default_auto_reply attribute?

It is meant to be the last response when all the registered reply functions are not triggered.

Could someone provide a basic demonstration of UserProxyAgent in action?

There are many examples in the v0.2 documentation, for example, https://microsoft.github.io/autogen/0.2/docs/tutorial/human-in-the-loop.

For v0.4, we are moving away from the user proxy agent style for tool and code execution, and user feedback, as it is not very flexible and introduces unnecessary complications to group chat.
