I noticed today the Altair library in the pip list.

It seems I can produce an interactive chart but it gives me a new error sub-type of "No Excel representation".

It would be great to be able to render and use Altair interactive charts in Excel. :)

Any update on this? Particularly on Vega Altair?

This will open up new possibilities for everyone—from data analysts to power users—bringing data storytelling and decision-making into Excel with a few lines of code.

Hi @franktoffel , no updates yet. We are still working on some of the other things the community wants. There are some ways to create 'interactivity' using static python plots and native features in Excel, like Slicers.
