I am having a hard time even trying to figure out how to search for creating a vcpkg for third party libraries. The results never return what I am looking for. :)
SDL3 as of today, June 16, 2024, isn't installable through vcpkg. I figured there must be a way to create my own package and I might have found the answer with overlay ports, but even the name "overlay ports" just doesn't make sense. I'm not trying to make a port. I'm trying to create a vcpkg for SDL 3.
How about adding a feature to vcpkg to generate a vcpkg from any cmake project? Or at least make it easier. Maybe it is really easy, but everything that I am finding makes it way more complicated than it should be and the terms used don't make sense for what I want to do.
