Using make -j will result in an error:

make[1]: *** No rule to make target '../mmtk-julia/julia/mmtk_julia.o', needed by '/home/ubuntu/mmtk/julia/usr/lib/libjulia-internal.so.1.10.0'.  Stop.
make[1]: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....
make: *** [Makefile:91: julia-src-release] Error 2
