Supported/known working python version(s) (Dockerfile) #614

I haven't tested it with newer versions, but I expect it should work. If anyone tries it, let me know and we can update. |
seems that it is at least with the latest version of Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS and Python 3.12 no longer working

Python version was fixed to 3.8 in Dockerfile (a550ede) as mentioned in Issue #414:
RootTheBox/Dockerfile
Line 6 in 5fb52ad
It appears that the python 3.9 issue was later fixed in #414, but the Dockerfile wasn't changed back.
With the phython 3.8 EoL coming up in a couple months it seems like that should be updated.
But I'm really just asking the broader question of which python version(s) >3.8 have been tested or known to work (or not) with RtB? I haven't yet tested anything beyond 3.8 myself. The README currently only states 'python 3' so maybe there are no issues with any newer 3.x versions?
Thanks!
