Is it a bug?

  • I know this is an issue with the app, and contacting Mullvad support is not relevant.

I have checked if others have reported this already

  • I have checked the issue tracker to see if others have reported similar issues.

Current Behavior

I enter the Mullvad GPG key in the terminal, which is specified on the Mullvad homepage, and it is not accepted because the signature is not verified because the public key NO_PUBKEY A26581F219C8314C is not available.

Expected Behavior

GPG error: https://repository.mullvad.net/deb/beta oracular InRelease: The following signatures could not be verified because their public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY A26581F219C8314C

Steps to Reproduce

  1. I enter the public key in the terminal and the exact error message appears

  2. when updating manually, exactly the same error occurs when I enter the key in the terminal.

  3. unfortunately, the key can no longer be deleted, as it cannot be found anywhere in the system (at present).

Did you follow the steps on https://mullvad.net/en/download/vpn/linux? I just did and did not run into any issues. I would check if simply repeating these steps solves the issue.

YYes, I have and the problem persists. Other users here have exactly the same problem with Debian
