Bug reported from test: Light/dark mode

My actions were as follows:
Preconditions:
Use an iPad in regular width so you can see promo block text

1. : Go to profile tab > app settings > switch to dark mode
2. : Restart the app, select kids profile and view discover tab
3. : Go to profile tab > app settings > switch to light mode then go back to discovery tab
4. : Restart the app, select kids profile and view discover tab
5. : Go to profile tab > app settings > switch to dark mode then go back to discovery tab
6. : Repeat steps 1-5 with adult profile on kids section
   The expected result: Page appears ok, with light/dark bkrd and light/dark text
   The actual result was : the background is not dark as expected
