What should determine whether notification sound is enabled?

Candidates:

  1. Personal Settings / Notifications
    image
  2. Do Not Disturb on system-level (there are technical issues with this option)
  3. Do Not Disturb on User Status level
  4. Local settings, e.g. "Enable notification sound" in the user menu

Or more complex settings allowing to set everything listed above manually.

The decision:

  • Do not use Personal Settings / Notifications
  • Have a local setting to switch between:
    • Enable sound
    • Enable when user sound status is not DND
    • Disable sound

DND on system level is not supported yet.
