Network error loading protein structures from the RCSB

You can no longer load structures hosted by the RCSB by providing their PDB ID. For example, you cannot load the structure 6XDG into the NGL web application without getting an error:

STAGE LOG loading file '6xdg'
STAGE LOG error loading file: 'network error'

I suspect it has something to do with the deprecation of the MMTF compression format.

I think this is fixed in latest release, but we haven't updated the website yet. I have done this before but might take a little while to remember how...
