Hi @njh

Although I'm probably being offtopic, this project seems related to @arduinoLibs account activity on twitter.

I want to thank you as the @arduinoLibs bot has been very impactful in my developer life. It had me discover new libraries while adding exposure to the ones I've published, and I'll never thank you enough for that.

Since I haven't found any social feed to replace the missing arduino library announcements in my digital life, I have coded from scratch a fediverse version of your @arduinoLibs twitter bot.

That fedibot is now registered and publishing arduino libraries updates on a bot-friendly Mastodon instance:

https://fosstodon.org/@arduinoLibs

@[email protected]

be well 😽

Not off-topic: the source code is here: twitter-publish.rb. It was actually a Twitter bot first, then a website to link to! But yes, I have given up on Twitter 😿

Super-cool that you have created this :)
Sorry the website isn't refreshing at the moment.

thanks!

I went with a quick and dirty PHP implementation as I don't have much ruby skills 😊 so far the bot has reported 104 updates and has gathered 28 followers

the source repository for the PHP/mastodon bot is still private but I'll happily send you an invitation on request so you can contemplate your legacy ... or scream in horror 🤣 just let me know
