Character 'X' gets highlighted permanently after a while #16

After some time the character 'X' in the lower left corner gets highlighted (LED on) and stays highlighted.

I'm using the following wordclock model / configuration:

Pin 13
Variante 1
Orientation 1
Matrix Layout 1
