More recurring patterns

Tasks is proving quite a boon for use in Obsidian, thank you. Any chance you could refine the recurring pattern to include order of particular days of the month, such as "Second Tuesday of the month" or "Last Friday of the month"?

Hey there,

I use rrule for recurrence. You can do whatever rrule can do, but unfortunately their documentation is limited.

In you specific cases, you can try:

• every month on the second tuesday
• every month on the last friday

That seems to work well. Much appreciated. But it doesn't seem to stretch to "Every second month on the second Tuesday". I have to use TickTick as a supplement for those kinds of recurrences.

For some reason, when I now use recurrences like "every month on the 3rd Saturday", it generates a new task on the next day, rather than the next month. It did seem to work before.

Hmm, too bad. I am sorry, but I can’t really help here. All I do is invoke the rrule library.
