How does this relate to #2886 which you closed saying 'User error'? |

For transparency and your future reference, I have edited the initial post to use Fenced code blocks to fix the formatting, so that the two lots of code can easily be copied. |

Same issue. I thought it was user error initially on that first post, as I sort of got it working. Basically I had a single task in several different callouts and none would show.. Turns out that the issue really is multiple callouts with tasks. Whatever the level of nested callouts, that many tasks are ignored.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Dennis

I can confirm that in Obsidian 1.6.3 Obsidian gives the wrong line numbers for the 4 tasks in the callouts, saying that the first task line starts at the position of the 4th task... This needs a developer to report a properly crafted Obsidian bug report on the forum, which I am unlikely to have time to do in the next couple of weeks unfortunately. I will convert this from a Q&A to a bug report for now. |

Returning here for advice after further research. After updating Obsidian to V1.6.3 I am seeing issues with Task Query and nested callouts. I have been able to test in Obsidian V1.5.12 and there is no issue. It works fine.
What I have been able to reproduce is when I have nested callouts, the number of tasks in the query is incorrect based on the number of callout levels.
i.e.
I have: Header Callout(Month), then Group Callout, then Task Callout. In the Task Callout I have four Tasks. In the Query it will ignore the first three tasks. If I remove the Header Callout and have only two levels of nested Callouts, it will ignore only the first two Tasks.
Basically – The number of nested callouts = number of ignored Tasks.
The Query is simply:
Here is some example code where the query only shows "Correction4":
