Beginner needs MORE help

I started working with the Tasks plugin yesterday and just used the simple 'not done' code block. While I had lots of questions it did seem to work for me. Today, I can not get an item to check off. That worked yesterday just fine. They were repeating items and they got marked as done and a new item was entered as expected. Today, when I click on the checkbox, nothing happens.

I am more confused now, if the tasks no longer match my queries, why are they showing up?

Oh I think I misread your message. Sorry. You are saying that they don’t respond to clicks to mark them as done. I have sometimes seen this myself, especially when there is only one task left matching the query, and then I complete the last task.

Nevertheless, we need more information to be able to try to reproduce the problem. Also, does the problem occur when you have turned off plugin except Tasks?

can you make a short video demonstrating the problem perhaps?

So if I understand correctly, a task which recurred correctly on completion yesterday is now not recurring on completion today - is that correct?

what is the text of the task? Please copy and paste it in here.

Also, what mode is Obsidian in when the tasks does not react to clicks? Reading? Live Preview? Source?

what other plugins are active?

what version of Obsidian are you using?
And of the Tasks plugin?

I tried this again with a few test Tasks and it is working fine now, I can mark them Done by clicking on the checkbox. I don’t know what is different but it is working now. Thanks. Jerry Levin, PhD, LMT 419-344-1388 ***@***.***
