There are many places where paths (i.e. /home/weather_station/) and filenames (i.e. db.sqlite3) appear in the code. This violate DRY principle.

Try to put them in some central place.

Hmm... It isn't so difficult to implement. The only problem is that you will need to keep at least 2 the same files in your source directories.
