Make sets of selected splats that can then be hidden and selected. This would allow a non-destructive way of fine tuning, and isolating areas of a point cloud that you want to focus on. It would also help preview areas for deletion before actually deleting the splats.

I also thought about something like that., A selection set could be displayed in the scene overview (that IMO should become a scenegraph)
