Event cannot be deleted from its edit page

When in an event's edit page, using the "Delete" from the "Actions" menu crashes with an 'object is locked' error. This seems to be the only object type with this problem (folders and others can be deleted like this). If this would be by design, then the "Delete" option should not exist in the "Actions" menu while in the edit page.
Happens on Plone 5.2/Python 3, also tested on https://demo.plone.org/
